CHILD BAPTISMS:
Congratulations on your new and beautiful gift of life! We look forward to welcoming your child into the Kingdom of God through this very special Sacrament and blessing. To have your child baptized, Deacon Harold Fanguy holds a 1 hour seminar every 2nd Monday of the month after the 5pm Communion service. No appointment is necessary.
When all requirements are met (as described in the seminar), then the Baptism may take place during the following Sunday morning Mass.
ADULT BAPTISMS
Adult Baptisms require a fully conscious and free will decision of the individual requesting the Sacrament. Therefore, each case will differ according to one's own journey, knowledge and maturity in Christ; where the priest will walk through the Catholic Faith in a series of classes to help the individual prepare for such a beautiful grace. Adult Baptisms usually take place on the Easter Vigil Mass.
We prepare children to receive their first Holy Communion in the 2nd grade. Sign your child up for youth formation using the online registration on our website. It is prefered that children begin attending youth formation in first grade, then continue in second grade, in order to be properly prepared. First Confessions are held in the winter with first Communion following in the spring.
If your child is school-age but beyond 2nd grade and still needs to make their first Communion, contact our Youth Formation coordinator Erin Ray at (231)620-1536 or E.MarieRay@gmail.com
Adults who need to make their First Communion go through the RCIA process with the Priest's approval.
